The Elements of Typographic Style
The idea: Choose a typeface/font to be the title of a Clex story. Anything you want, babe. Whether it’s Adobe, Agfa-Monotype or Linotype, or one of the smaller type foundries, there’s gotta be something that fits the Clex.
Guidelines
- It wouldn’t be a Clex typography challenge without the Clex in it. ;-)
- If you’re not using a default font, give us a link to it. We just wanna see the inspiration, is all. ;-)
- For those of you making covers for stories, use the font in the pic.
- Otherwise, anything goes. All ratings, all lengths, all genres, all other SV characters, etc. accepted.
To turn in a story, register and login. If there’s a cover, you can also upload it (gif or jpg and smaller than 2048k). Some special tags when entering your stories:
- <!--more--> separates the summary/teaser from the story itself. Leaving this tag out will post your whole story on the list page.
- <!--noteaser--> will hide the teaser from the story page. Any teaser above the <!--more--> tag will show up in the archive page so, to omit a teaser, just leave this tag at the top of the entry.
- <!--nextpage--> will separate your story into multiple pages.
Some known issues with the posting interface:
- You can choose any version of your name to be published. However, updating your profile is buggy and if you can’t, e-mail me at admin@metamers.com and I’ll fix it for you.
- The preview is buggy especially when posting a story with multiple pages. But at least, I hope that seeing the first page is enough.
